VI is looking to hire a Copywriter/Storyteller, full time, to form an integral part of the VI creative team. The storyteller will work closely with the team’s researchers, data analysts, information architects, and designers to produce powerful concepts.

Activities include, but are not limited to, producing story concepts in the form of text or visual sketches, carrying out research specific to topics at hand, carrying out research on topics beyond those defined by the VI projects, and building a culture of storytelling and messaging within the VI team.

The candidate is expected to have at least three years relevant experience, and the ability to turn complex information and data into compelling concepts and draw powerful analogies to make stories accessible to a wider audience. Past experience in journalism or advertising would be particularly relevent to the position.

Expected Skills
- Direct experience in analytical research essential. Familiarity with data journalism a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication. Visual communication skills a plus
- Ability to collate information and create charts/maps with standard spreadsheet tools. Knowledge of database and GIS tools a plus
- Ability to work with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of design tools such as Illustrator and InDesign a plus
- Fluency in spoken and written English essential. Arabic and/or Hebrew language a benefit
- Ability to work with a team remotely
